Overview As a HR Administrator at Softwerx, you will play an important role in providing efficient administrative support and recruitment processes, contributing to the HR Team while working closely with HR Business Partner.

Overview As a HR Administrator at Softwerx, you will play an important role in providing efficient administrative support and recruitment processes, contributing to the HR Team while working closely with HR Business Partner. You will be responsible for supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, maintaining accurate employee records, and administering pre-employment and screening processes as well as contributing to HR projects and process improvements. You will work collaborative with employees, hiring managers and other stakeholders to ensure a profession, efficient and compliant HR service is delivered across the business. To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in HR and/or recruitment administration, along with strong organisational skills and attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate and confidentiality in a fast-paced and evolving technology business environment.

Contract type: Permanent

Location: This a hybrid role with weekly visits to the Cambridge head office at CB22 3GN.

Hours of work: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week 9am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday.

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and managing candidate communications.
  • Utilise HR systems to track and manage candidate applications and recruitment activity.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and pre-employment screening, including references, right to work checks and DBS checks.
  • Prepare and issue offer documentation and contracts of employment.
  • Build positive relationships with candidates, recruitment partners and hiring managers.
  • Maintain recruitment records and produce recruitment reporting as required.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation, including contract variations, confirmation letters and employee correspondence.
  • Support onboarding, probation, performance review and offboarding processes.
  • Manage HR inbox enquiries and response to routine employee requests.
  • Support absence management administration and HR reporting activities.
  • Systems and Reporting: Utilise HR systems and technology to support efficient HR processes.
  • Produce reports, metrics and management information using appropriate systems.
  • Support the continuous improvement and automation of HR administrative processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Policy and Compliance: Support the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures and employee documentation.
  • Ensure HR administration activities comply with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Support audits and compliance activities as requires.
  • Team Support and Flexibility: Provide administrative support to the HR Business Partner and wider business as required.
  • Work flexibly across recruitment, onboarding and HR administration activities based on business priorities.
  • Maintain knowledge across all key HR administrative processes to provide support and cover across the HR function.
  • Contribute to HR projects and wider people initiatives.

Essential Experience And Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an HR administration and/or recruitment administration role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software.

Preferred Experience And Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards.
  • Experience of using SageHR.
  • Knowledge of using employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience working within a technology, MSP or cybersecurity environment.
  • Experience of working in a Group Company model with shared central services.
