Software Tec Lab is a specialist software development consultancy based in Glasgow. We deliver tailored software engineering for clients developing pioneering electronic devices, apps, and cloud solutions. We are seeking a self‑motivated software consultant with multiplatform experience to help develop innovative technology solutions for our clients. This is a high‑profile, hands‑on consultancy role, with opportunity for you to benefit from lots of variety, and be rewarded for successful development projects.

Essential Technical Skills

  • 3+ years experience of hands‑on coding for commercial software
  • Proficient in writing clean, well‑documented code in C/C++, C#, and Python
  • Experienced in implementing .NET/C# backend and APIs
  • Skilled with C/C++ applications & drivers
  • Comfortable with integration of IoT devices / embedded systems
  • Develops high‑quality code, employing unit testing and adhering to best coding practices
  • Full lifecycle software development background

Desirable Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Software, Computing/IT, Electronics or equivalent
  • Broad software development skills are preferred (C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript…)
  • Development experience for multiple platforms (e.g., Linux, Windows, Real‑time embedded)
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure Cloud systems and databases is an advantage
  • Proficiency using GIT
  • Someone who leads and is committed to ensuring quality is built in
