We are seeking an experienced and strategic VMware Product Manager to drive the vision, roadmap, and market success of VMware-based private and hybrid cloud solutions. In this role, you will act as the bridge between customers, engineering teams, sales, and delivery organizations to define and evolve cloud platform offerings built on VMware technologies, Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure services.
This role is ideal for a product professional passionate about shaping the future of VMware-based private and hybrid cloud platforms, enabling enterprise customers to modernize infrastructure and accelerate application delivery through virtualization and Kubernetes technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for VMware platform services, prioritizing features across virtualization, Kubernetes, automation, networking, and hybrid cloud offerings.
- Customer & Market Insight: Engage with enterprise customers to understand business and technical needs, while tracking competitive trends across private cloud, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud technologies.
- Go-To-Market: Develop product positioning, value propositions, pricing strategies, and GTM plans to drive adoption and growth.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, architecture, sales, and professional services teams, and partner closely with VMware by Broadcom and cloud providers to align roadmap initiatives.
- Platform Innovation & Enablement: Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and self-service cloud capabilities, and develop technical messaging, solution documentation, and sales enablement materials.
- Metrics & Success: Define and track KPIs, customer adoption metrics, and product performance indicators.
What we need to see from you
- Proven experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Product Marketing within enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of VMware technologies including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager, and AVI Load Balancer, with knowledge of software-defined networking.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) (formerly TKG), and modern application platforms.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments including VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, and Google Cloud VMware Engine.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible, DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions, with strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills for engaging enterprise customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Cloud certifications.
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certifications.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- Agile Product Management certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent.
