As Head of Managed Infrastructure within SPI you will be accountable for defining strategy, governance, and operational excellence across managed cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS. In this role, you will set standards, security and compliance guardrails, and cost targets while ensuring reliable and scalable operations. Leading a team of engineers, you represent managed infrastructure across regions, CoEs, and customers, driving transformation that improves reliability, cost transparency, and long‑term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own cloud architecture standards, principles, and guardrails for Azure and AWS.
  • Lead reliability and performance of managed cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and incident reduction.
  • Drive automation through infrastructure‑as‑code, standardized workflows, and AI assisted operations.
  • Own security and compliance guardrails and act as accountable owner during audits such as ISO 27001 and customer assessments.
  • Manage cloud cost targets, reporting, and optimization, embedding FinOps practices into operations.
  • Represent managed infrastructure in stakeholder, customer, escalation, and audit discussions.
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, shaping roles, mentoring, and driving cultural and organizational transformation.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in senior cloud infrastructure leadership roles in complex environments.
  • Deep understanding of Azure and AWS infrastructure across compute, networking, identity, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Proven ownership of cloud architecture standards, security and compliance guardrails, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Experience acting as accountable owner in audits such as ISO 27001, publisher audits, and customer assurance reviews.
  • Demonstrated success in cloud cost management, FinOps practices, and delivering measurable savings.
  • Track record of reducing incidents, consolidating platforms, and improving operational maturity.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to engage senior leaders, customers, and auditors.
