The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (Front-End), you will help build our flagship Clear Street Studio, a modern prime brokerage experience.

You will tackle non-trivial problems that force you to balance trade-offs while implementing clean and efficient solutions.

You will raise our bar on delivering solutions that delight and offer the best experience for our customers, and you will push our operational standards to ensure we can offer and maintain a high SLA.

This role is deeply involved in engineering the next generation of our state-of-the-art Studio (portal) for a varied client base including hedge funds, traders, and portfolio managers.

As a senior member of the team, you will set technical direction, mentor other engineers, and own significant parts of the platform end to end.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex, user-facing features and shared foundations for Clear Street Studio.
  • Drive a system-design approach to building new front-end services, balancing trade-offs across scale, performance, and maintainability.
  • Set and evolve engineering standards across the Studio Core team, including architecture, testing, tooling, and code quality.
  • Mentor and grow other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.
  • Partner with product, design, and back-end leads to shape roadmaps and turn ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
  • Own the operational excellence of your domains, ensuring reliability, observability, and a high SLA.
  • Clearly explain the nuances of system design and front-end paradigms to engineers and stakeholders alike.
