What is The Role
At Elastic, we move fast — and we're looking for someone who can help us move smarter. As a Business Development Consultant for Elastic International, you'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering with senior leaders to shape how we grow across our international markets. You will help turn complex business challenges into clear plans with measurable outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Shape strategy that sticks. Partner directly with executives to design short- and long-term business plans, refine business models, and develop go-to-market strategies that are grounded in data and built to scale.
- Connect the dots across the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams — from Sales and Marketing to Product and Finance — to align goals, remove friction, and drive strategic initiatives from concept to execution.
- Make the numbers talk. Conduct financial analyses, business valuations, and profitability assessments that turn strategy into something we can actually fund, build, and defend.
- Define what success looks like. Establish KPIs that give us an honest read on progress, and have the judgment to recommend pivots when the data calls for it.
- Drive growth. Develop and implement initiatives that tangibly move the needle on revenue and operational efficiency — not just slides, but outcomes.
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in a consulting firm or a SaaS corporate sales strategy function — you know how to structure ambiguous problems and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
- Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills — you're comfortable in a spreadsheet and can tell a story with data.
- Strategic clarity and the ability to operate at both the 30,000-foot level and in the weeds when needed.
- A solid grasp of the technology market — you understand enterprise software, SaaS dynamics, and what drives growth in this space.
- You don't need to have all the answers yet — curiosity and drive matter as much as experience here.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top business school is a plus, but your thinking matters more than your pedigree.
