Soft Sell Digital is a digital marketing and web agency based in Chorley, working with a broad range of clients across the UK. We also build and grow our own SaaS products β so this role isn't just agency work. You'd be designing across client websites, product interfaces, and marketing assets, with real variety in what lands on your desk. We're looking for a full-time designer who can own the visual and UX output across the business β someone who thinks in user journeys as much as aesthetics, and who can take a brief from concept through to a built, live website.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Designing and building websites in WordPress β from initial wireframes through to launch
- Creating UX/UI designs in Figma for client sites, landing pages, and our own SaaS products
- Working closely with the team on briefs, translating marketing objectives into design decisions
- Owning ongoing client sites β updates, improvements, and performance-led changes
- Contributing ideas on user experience, conversion, and how our products and client sites can work harder
- Building AI-assisted workflows and repeatable processes that let the team produce better work faster β from design systems and asset generation through to scalable delivery
- Keeping projects moving β you'll need to manage your own time and communicate clearly on timelines
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Solid Figma skills β you design properly before you build, and your files are clean and organised
- Strong WordPress capability β you're comfortable building sites, not just editing existing ones
- A good eye β for layout, typography, spacing, and the details that separate decent from great
- UX thinking β you consider how people move through a page, not just how it looks
- An active interest in AI tools and how they can be used practically β not just awareness, but someone already using them to work smarter
- A process-builder mindset β you spot inefficiencies and look for ways to systematise and scale quality output
- Clear communication β clients and colleagues will need to understand your reasoning
- Self-sufficiency β you can take a brief and run with it without needing to be managed closely
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience designing for SaaS or digital products β dashboards, onboarding flows, app UI
- Any exposure to conversion rate optimisation or A/B testing
- Basic HTML/CSS β enough to troubleshoot and refine in-browser
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor or Bricks
WHAT WE OFFER
- Salary of Β£27,000 β Β£32,000 depending on experience
- Based at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, Chorley β a stunning, purpose-built workspace with exceptional facilities
- Full-time, permanent role with a clear review and progression structure
- Work across agency clients and our own growing SaaS products β proper variety
- A small, focused team where your work is visible and your input matters
- No corporate noise β we move quickly and get things done
