We seek a Receptionist who embodies a cheerful demeanour and can create a welcoming first impression for Softcat. A Receptionist is a cultural ‘ambassador' who lives and promotes Softcat values every day. They always offer excellent customer service and create a great place to work or visit for employees and guests alike. This is an onsite role based in our brand new office in Aldgate, central London. The individual would be expected to be onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Your main role will be delivering exceptional customer service to our visitors and employees from our reception desk. You will be the first point of contact for any office-related matters and assist the Workplace team to ensure a smooth running of the office. You will be required to handle incoming emails, facilitate a busy diary of internal room bookings and vendor visits, as well as arranging collection and distribution of mail and ad hoc courier requests.
As a Receptionist, you’ll be responsible for:
- Reception Duties: Operating from the reception desk, including general reception duties, such as front of house, customer, guest and vendor greeting, and ensuring a welcoming reception area.
- Event Support: Assisting local departments and partners with delivering fantastic, engaging, employee-focused events.
- Stakeholder Management: Supporting delivery of FM-related operational activities working in partnership with third-party service providers and in-house teams.
- Building Services & Maintenance: Assisting the Workplace manager with the delivery of hard services i.e., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical.
- Health, Safety & Environmental: Knowledge of fire, health and safety, and environmental procedures and supporting the Workplace team when updates are needed.
