We seek a Receptionist who embodies a cheerful demeanour and can create a welcoming first impression for Softcat. A Receptionist is a cultural ambassador who lives and promotes Softcat values every day. The role is onsite at Softcat's head office in Marlow, Buckinghamshire and expects two full days in the office each week, preferably Monday & Tuesday.

Responsibilities

  • Reception duties such as front-of-house, customer, guest and vendor greeting and ensuring a welcoming reception area.
  • Event support and experience: assist local departments and partners with delivering employee-focused events.
  • Support delivery of FM-related operational activities working with third-party service providers and in-house teams to meet business and occupancy needs.
  • Assist the Workplace Manager with delivery of hard services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and undertake ad-hoc daily event requests from local departments.
  • Ensure Fire Warden, First Aid and Manual Handling lists are up to date and adequate cover is maintained; ensure signage is correct, compliant and updated (fire, maintenance, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively through the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Highly organised and resourceful.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
