Join our Commercial Programme Management team
The Commercial Programme Management team at Softcat is the powerhouse behind the successful delivery of vendor programmes.
They evaluate and ensure that each programme not only aligns with strategic objectives but also brings tangible value to customers and impacts Softcat positively.
With a keen focus on governance, the team effectively manages interconnected projects, guaranteeing that programme execution meets the highest quality standards.
They are adept at resource allocation, risk mitigation, and financial management, all while providing detailed reports to stakeholders.
Their commitment to continuous improvement and gap analysis drives innovation, making recommendations that enhance vendor programme effectiveness.
Programmes looked after by this team will include, but are not limited to; large investment agreements, end customer funding, partner competencies / specialisations & the Softcat Vendor Framework.

About the Role
The Microsoft Programmes Executive will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing Microsoft programme utilisation, this is a great entry level opportunity.
You will become a subject matter expert in Microsoft's programmes, with support from various Softcat teams, to better collaborate with the Microsoft Programme Manager in evaluating programme suitability and importance based on commerciality.
You will work collaboratively with the Microsoft alliances, Product & Services, Vendor CSM, engagement, and sales teams to ensure successful programme delivery, risk management, and reporting.
You will advise on specialisations and support their acquisition to unlock additional programmes.
Having an interest in building improved process to ensure simplicity, effectiveness and scalability for us to meet Microsoft goals.
- Analyse key benefits and risks of new and existing programmes to support evaluation in collaboration with the Microsoft Programme Manager.
- Assist sales in understanding and following programme processes, such as attend QBR's
- Ensureprogramme outputs meet required standards and deliver value.
- Support in preparing and collating required POE for Strategic investment claiming on quarterly basis.
- Identify gaps in vendor programmes and make recommendations to the Alliances team.
- We'd love you to have
- Prior experience in a sales environment within a technology firm would be desirable, and project / programme qualification and management would be beneficial but not essential.
- Strategic thinking with awareness of risk assessment, resource allocation, and commerciality.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
