The Office of the CTO β Now, next, and beyond
The OCTO is responsible for delivering world-class technology market insights and guidance to our customers and internal stakeholders. We work with sales, services, vendors, customers, partners, analysts and Softcat's leadership teams to ensure that our propositions and capabilities remain relevant now and into the future.
In this senior role, w e are looking for a high impact , highly collaborative and highly experienced technology leader and Workspace expert to o wn the technology decisions for our Workspace proposition .
Workspace at Softcat is focused on the modernisation , optimisation and supply of workspace technology products, services and solutions to enable customers to achieve business outcomes such as; reduced TCO, improved digital experiences, reduced risk and accelerated business transformation. The core workspace technology disciplines include end-user computing, communication and collaboration, IT service management and IT asset management . The core services disciplines include advisory, architecture, engineering , support and managed services.
As a member of the Workspace Technology Tower Council (TTC) , Product Council and Services Council , you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure that our proposition and execution is effective in the short-term, built for l ong -term success , and is change-ready .
- Acting as an ambassador for Softcat's values (passion, fun, intelligence, responsibility, and community)
- Providing technology market insights and guidance for the Workspace TTC, and the Softcat leadership teams
- Identifying common customer problems and opportunities that will gain mainstream technology and services adoption
- Selecting the products and services that address those problems
- Planning the successful customer engagement journey through Softcat
- Creating simple stories that bring this to life for our sellers and customers
What we need from you:
- Will possess strong knowledge and have working experience across the workspace technology and service disciplines, listed in the previous paragrap h
- Will be a determined positive energising collaborator, who will set a clear and simple vision, will initiate and build trust amongst co lleagues , customers and partners
- I s comfortable with passionate debate and making decisions
- I s confident presenting to business and technical audiences
- H as a get it done , get it done together, and get it done well attitude
