Softcat's Cyber Operations Team provides managed cyber security services to a wide variety of customers in many different industries. This includes monitoring systems for threats, checking for weaknesses, responding to attacks, and gathering information about potential dangers. This helps our customers protect their computer systems from cyber threats.
As a member of the Cyber Engineering function, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring and maintaining the tools used to deliver the different parts of the cyber security service. As a Cyber Operations Apprentice you will be responsible for:
- Configuring security solutions (such as SIEM, Vulnerability Assessment and MDR tools)
- Speaking to customers to address issues or introduce new features and capabilities
- Participating in reporting and Service Reviews
- Keeping up to date with Cyber news and activities
- Completing your Level 4 Qualification
We'd love you to have:
- A passion for technology and cyber security
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- A willingness to learn new things
Entry Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs including English & Maths (Level 4/Grade C and above)
- A levels, or Level 3 Qualification or relevant experience
- An A-Level or Level 3 qualification in an IT or STEM based subject
- No previous qualifications (awarded) in any degree/masters/level 4 and above in any discipline
- A current and valid document which proves Right to work in the UK
