About the Role
At Softcat, our Specialist Sales team works closely with customers to deliver expert advice and solutions across key technology areas. As a Specialist, you’ll focus on one of these areas, becoming a go‑to expert for both customers and colleagues.
- Technology Towers
- Cyber Security – Helping customers protect their data, systems, and people from cyber threats.
- Data Centre & Cloud (Hybrid Infrastructure) – Supporting customers in building and managing scalable hybrid infrastructure through cloud platforms and data centre services.
- Workspace (Digital Workspace) – Enabling flexible, modern working through ITAM, end‑user computing, support services, and collaboration tools.
- Networking & Connectivity – Delivering secure, reliable networks and connectivity to ensure seamless communication and performance.
- Data, AI & Automation – Helping organisations harness data, automation, and AI to improve insights and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Research potential customers to shape and build new business.
- Provide internal consultancy to other Account Managers across our Corporate Sales teams.
- Develop market understanding, build relationships, and network to achieve KPIs.
- Deliver specialist technology insight that helps customers buy the right technology to solve their business challenges.
- Collaborate with your sales team, cross‑functional teams, and external partners to create a rich customer experience.
- Demonstrate company values and a keen entrepreneurial flare.
- Build and grow your own client base from scratch as a motivated self‑starter.
- Show enthusiasm to learn and develop knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
