The Property and Workplace team is responsible for ensuring that the working environment in all Softcat's offices is of the highest standard, consistent with one of the Company's objectives of being a great place to work. The Property and Workplace team works to ensure full statutory compliance and developing an operating structure which supports consistent delivery of Facilities Management (FM), Capital Projects (procure, design, build), Health & Safety and Risk Management services, Fleet Management, as well as contributing towards Softcat's sustainability agenda.
The Senior Property and Workplace Manager leads the strategic management of corporate real estate and facilities operations, ensuring effective budget control, compliance, and workspace optimisation. The role oversees Softcat's prestigious Northern offices, requiring strong experience in property, facilities management, financial oversight, and data-driven decision making.
As a Senior Property and Workplace Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering workplace and real estate strategies aligned to business growth and operational goals
- Leading the management of offices, facilities, workplace services, and property portfolios to optimise performance and employee experience
- Managing budgets, financial forecasting, contracts, suppliers, and cost-saving initiatives to maximise value
- Driving workplace projects, office moves, refurbishments, and capital improvements with minimal business disruption
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, security, and regulatory requirements across all locations
- Leading and developing high-performing teams while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to shape workplace strategy and outcomes
We'd love you to have:
- Experience leading workplace, property, facilities, or operational functions, with the ability to deliver strategic business outcomes
- Strong understanding of facilities management, property operations, procurement, contract management, and supplier relationships
- Experience managing budgets, financial forecasting, and delivering value through cost and efficiency improvements
- Knowledge of health, safety, compliance, building services, and workplace risk management
- Ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively across all levels of the business
