THIS IS A 9 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT ROLE

Softcat's Learning & Development team sits within the wider People & Property function and plays a key role in fostering a learning culture that enables employees to reach their potential and drive high performance. This is an exciting time to join, as the business begins a phased shift towards more Agile ways of working through its TechFwd programme, with this interim role supporting early awareness, alignment and readiness across IT and the wider organisation.
This is a senior interim L&D consultancy role focused on Agile education and early adoption. As a Senior L&D Consultant, you will design and deliver practical, accessible Agile learning that builds a shared understanding of its purpose and supports value‑driven delivery at Softcat. You will work collaboratively with L&D, Tech Adoption and business stakeholders to create relevant, reusable learning while operating autonomously and focusing on areas of greatest organisational impact.
Responsibilities- Designing and creating Agile training tailored to Softcat's culture, providing clear, practical introductions to Agile principles and value‑driven delivery.
- Creating accessible, engaging learning experiences for both technical and non‑technical audiences, using appropriate delivery methods.
- Partnering with stakeholders across IT and the wider business to understand needs, position Agile learning effectively, and manage expectations.
- Facilitating inclusive sessions that encourage discussion, adapt to audience needs, and confidently handle challenge or ambiguity.
- Developing reusable learning materials and supporting knowledge transfer to ensure sustainability beyond the interim role.
- Contributing to Agile adoption during a period of organisational change, taking a pragmatic, outcomes‑focused approach and influencing without authority.
- Experience delivering Agile training or education in a business or technology setting, or a strong willingness to build this capability.
- Ability to explain Agile concepts in a clear, practical and accessible way for a range of audiences.
- Confidence in engaging and supporting both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, with strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Comfortable working in evolving environments, managing ambiguity and adapting to changing needs.
- Collaborative and culturally aware approach, with a focus on outcomes and openness to different perspectives.
