Join our Framework Bid Team
The Frameworks bid function sits within Softcat's Bid Centre team structure and plays a critical role in enabling sales through access to key public sector frameworks. It secures, retains, and continuously improves Softcat's framework portfolio, delivering complex high‑value bids.
Overview
As a Senior Bid Manager for frameworks, you will own end‑to‑end framework bids, balancing routine BAU activities (renewals, extensions, DPS) with strategic pursuits that expand and protect Softcat's addressable markets.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver high‑quality, compelling bid responses.
- Plan, storyboard, coordinate inputs, ensure quality control, and tailor submissions to meet compliance.
- Manage bid schedules, risks and dependencies to meet deadlines.
- Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders, technical teams and external partners to gather information and align responsibilities.
- Track and report on outcomes, lessons learned, and support ongoing quality improvements.
Qualifications
- Significant experience managing public sector bids or tenders, ideally frameworks such as CCS, NHS SBS, CPC in technology or services.
- Strong experience in answer planning/storyboarding and leading SMEs to deliver structured, compliant responses.
- Excellent project management, organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work at pace under time pressures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible Working
- Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
- Flexible hours – start and finish times flexible.
- Flexibility around school pick‑up and drop‑offs.
