Postition Summary

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to support the management of UK tax matters for a listed international investment group.

This is a varied in-house role covering UK corporation tax compliance, quarterly tax reporting under IFRS, VAT, and oversight of transfer pricing processes.

The role involves close coordination with external advisers and internal finance teams to ensure timely delivery of tax reporting and compliance obligations.

There will also be some international elements to the role – such as overseeing tax return preparation process outsourced to advisors, considering implications of reorganisations, etc.

The successful candidate will take day-to-day ownership of UK tax processes, with support, collaboration and senior review from the wider tax team.

Key Responsilities

  • Transfer Pricing compliance
  • Review of country specific transfer pricing Local files prepared by external advisers.
  • Review of tax returns for transfer pricing related information and disclosures.
  • Liaise with internal teams including FP&A, finance, HR and other senior stakeholders on transfer pricing compliance.
  • Liase with tax authorities on any enquiries on policy.
  • Transfer Pricing Policy
  • Review of Soft Bank business to ensure transfer pricing policy adopted is correct; updating policy as required.
  • Monitoring of policy within Soft Bank and liasiing with internal stakeholders.
  • Management of advisers on policy and documentation.
  • Transfer Pricing Modelling
  • Preparation and acquisition of data for model in place; provision of data to external model provider.
  • Review of model output with internal teams; Ensuring ledgers reflects policy adopted.
  • Support intra-group service fee allocations and related documentation.
  • Other UK and international tax responsibilities
  • Supporting on international tax analysis on investment exits
  • Providing updates to the team on developments in UK and international tax legislation.
  • Provide support on group tax reporting and data requests (JCFC, pillar 2).
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and tax-related initiatives

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (CA or equivalent) and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), or working towards the latter.
  • Strong UK corporation tax knowledge.
  • Experience working with external advisers on tax compliance and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS tax accounting (IAS 12).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience of Transfer Pricing policy management, modelling and compliance within a multinational or asset management environment.
  • Experience working in-house within a multinational or investment environment.
  • Familiarity with international tax regimes and cross-border tax considerations.
