Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
As the Night Manager at Sofitel, you will oversee all hotel operations during your shift, ensuring seamless service that aligns with our brand standards and exceeds guest expectations.
Your leadership will ensure the night audit processes are completed meticulously, fulfilling all legal and audit requirements while maintaining an atmosphere of safety and refined luxury.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift, ensuring exceptional guest service and brand standards are maintained.
- Supervise and support the Night Team, ensuring accurate completion of the Night Audit and all daily operational checks.
- Manage guest requests, complaints, emergencies, and overbooking situations with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel premises in partnership with the Security team.
- Ensure hotel cleanliness, maintenance issues, and service standards are consistently upheld throughout the property.
- Monitor financial controls, revenue opportunities, guest billing accuracy, and loyalty programme enrolments.
- Coordinate effectively with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Finance teams to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Prepare detailed shift handovers, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company procedures and brand standards.
- Promote Accor and Sofitel values, support an inclusive workplace culture, and assist with team administration, including rota management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Night Manager, Assistant Night Manager, or Front Office supervisory role within a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Office, Night Audit processes, guest services, and revenue management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage teams during overnight operations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with confidence in handling guest concerns, emergencies, and operational challenges.
- Good financial acumen, with experience in auditing, cash handling, billing controls, and revenue optimisation.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work night shifts, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards under pressure.
