, you will be an important part of the Food & Beverage team at Sofitel London St James, delivering a warm, polished and personalised breakfast experience to our guests.

You will be responsible for providing attentive table service, ensuring that breakfast service runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the high standards of hospitality expected from a luxury Sofitel property.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression.
  • Prepare and set up the breakfast restaurant before service, ensuring tables, stations and service areas are presented to luxury standards.
  • Take breakfast and beverage orders accurately and provide knowledgeable recommendations when required.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of the breakfast menu, ingredients, allergens and dietary requirements.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and provide attentive, personalised service throughout their experience.
  • Maintain high standards of table presentation, cleanliness and service throughout breakfast.
  • Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and other Food & Beverage colleagues to ensure smooth service.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a discreet and professional approach.
  • Handle guest requests, feedback and complaints with confidence and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties and support the wider Food & Beverage team when required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and consistently represent the values and standards of Sofitel London St James.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant or high-end hospitality environment is desirable.
  • Confident, friendly and naturally attentive to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced breakfast environment.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Well organised, reliable and a supportive team player.
