With 605 spacious ensuite rooms plus a selection of restaurants and bars showcasing fresh international flavours. Our luxurious hotel is connected to terminal 5 and has spa and fitness facilities. The 45 meeting rooms include a flexible ballroom accommodating up to 1,300 delegates.
As a Meeting and Events operations manager, you will ensure a smooth and effective running of the entire meetings and events operations. Plan and manage the day to day operations of all M&E areas of the hotel and ensure all service standards are followed and report back on financial performance and employee satisfaction. Implement, measure, monitor and improve all guest service and guest recognition programs such as trust you. Conduct monthly departmental meetings. Demonstrate a management style which promotes effective development and use of team members through regular reviews and coaching. Provide support and training on upselling and negotiating techniques for all team members within the M&E/Food & Beverage service area. Keep staffing in line with payroll budget and proactively plan employee holidays and balance seasonal fluctuations.
Very strong communication skills and an excellent standard of written and spoken English. Ability to take initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last-minute changes. Strong attention to detail. A smart and professional appearance. Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner. Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
