Lead food safety, quality and customer confidence in a critical pork production operation. The new Technical Manager will be responsible for leading strong technical governance while enabling safe, efficient operations.
Key accountabilities include:
- Owning food safety, quality, legality and GMP standards across the Primary or Added Value operations
- Leading and developing the Technical team, setting clear expectations and building capability
- Acting as the technical lead for customer-facing activity, including specifications, audits and issue resolution
- Managing relationships with competent authorities including FSA, OV, DEFRA and MHS
- Leading export compliance requirements (including USDA, China, South Korea and Australia)
- Preparing for and leading internal and external audits, delivering robust corrective actions and sustained improvement
- Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to embed technical standards into daily decision-making
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen systems, reduce risk and improve site performance
This is a highly visible role with responsibility for GMP, HACCP, BRCGS, customer standards, export compliance and regulatory engagement. You will lead audits, drive continuous improvement, and act as the trusted technical authority on site, ensuring standards are not only met, but strengthened.
This role is based in Malton, 5 days a week.
