Responsibilities
- Support the safe, efficient production of food products, following all relevant procedures and standards.
- Carry out a variety of key production tasks, including feeding materials, packing into inner and outer cartons, box making, and palletising.
- Prepare and handle fresh and frozen fish and ingredients in line with product specifications.
- Perform line feeding, decanting, weighing, and mixing of ingredients.
- Complete polybag sealing, cartooning, lidding, collating, and packing (individual and catering packs).
- Stack and palletise boxes, while maintaining the flow of ingredients and packaging on the line.
- Ensure equipment is functioning effectively and raise issues when necessary.
- Adhere to all hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
- Escalate concerns to the Advanced Operative to support achievement of the shift production plan.
Qualifications
- Responsible, hardworking, and reliable production operative with a positive attitude.
- Practical and dependable, with good attention to detail.
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy production environment.
- Aware of hygiene, quality, and safety requirements in food manufacturing.
- Flexible and open to a rotating shift pattern.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 is an advantage, but not essential – full training will be provided.
