Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our McGee's Retail store in Portadown. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong people leader who is passionate about retail, customer service and delivering commercial results while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and store presentation.
As Store Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the store, leading your team to achieve sales targets, deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain a positive and productive working environment. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £13.74 - £14.29 per hour and a minimum 45-hour full-time contract.
Key Duties
- You’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of store performance and customer experience.
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the store
- Drive sales performance and deliver agreed business targets
- Maintain high standards of product knowledge, merchandising and store presentation
- Ensure excellent customer service and build customer loyalty
- Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to achieve KPIs and business objectives
- Maintain hygiene, food safety and compliance standards in line with legislation
- Work closely with the Regional Manager to review performance and identify improvements
- Promote a positive, inclusive and respectful working culture across the team
Ideal Candidate
- We're looking for a customer-focused leader with strong retail management experience.
- At least two years' experience in a retail management role, ideally within fresh foods
- Passionate about retail, customer service and commercial performance
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other IT systems
- Able to make decisions, prioritise workload and perform effectively under pressure
