Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team in Portadown. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys delivering outstanding customer service. Working within a busy retail environment, you'll play a key role in preparing high-quality products, maintaining exceptional standards and supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.
Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour
Key Duties
- Preparing a variety of meat cuts to customer and company specifications.
- Providing excellent customer service, offering product advice and sharing product knowledge.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation across the counter and pre-pack areas.
- Managing stock rotation, product quality checks and product sampling activities.
- Receiving deliveries and completing associated paperwork accurately.
- Supporting promotional activities and assisting with general store operations.
- Providing support and cover for the Store Manager when required.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a retail butchery environment is essential.
- A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.
- Good understanding of legal requirements and food safety standards relevant to butchery operations.
- Experience supporting and developing team members within a retail environment.
- Confident taking responsibility and providing supervisory support when required.
- Able to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
- A proactive and dependable team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
