To develop and maintain robust demand forecasting processes that support both short- and long-term business planning, ensuring alignment between sales, supply chain, and operational teams while providing actionable insights to support decision-making.

This role supports the Sofina Pork Supply Chain division across the UK and ROI, ensuring accurate demand forecasts, optimised inventory levels, and effective collaboration with Commercial Sales, Operations, and key customers. You will play a key role in improving forecast reliability, supporting the S&OP process, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain forecasting models and tools to support accurate short-, medium-, and long-term demand planning.
  • Gather, analyse, and integrate data from internal and external sources to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Communicate forecast insights, trends, and variances to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports highlighting risks, opportunities, and key drivers of change.
  • Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to ensure alignment between commercial, supply chain, and operational teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements to forecasting and planning workflows.
  • Partner with supply planning to provide analytical insights that support capacity planning, inventory management, and service performance.
  • Monitor upcoming promotions, delists, and product launches to ensure accurate and timely planning.
  • Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment across all relevant teams.
  • Provide analytical and planning support across the wider supply chain to improve service, inventory, and operational outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a strong statistical/analytical background.
  • Proficiency with forecasting tools and methodologies.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional relationship skills.
  • Proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • SAP system knowledge.
  • Knowledge of shelf-life and stock rotation requirements in food production.
  • Willingness to undertake additional duties and provide cross-team support as needed.
