A Key Role at the Heart of Our Manufacturing Excellence. Sofina Foods is looking for a driven and experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer to support the performance and reliability of our production operations. This is more than just a maintenance role – it’s an opportunity to be part of a skilled team that underpins our ability to deliver high‑quality food products every day. You’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and proactive maintenance of factory plant and equipment, ensuring we operate at peak performance while maintaining the highest standards in safety and compliance. With a structured shift pattern and clear progression opportunities, this role offers both stability and long‑term potential in a fast‑moving, forward‑thinking environment.
Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off (days and nights), 0600–1800 or 1800–0600.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment
- Ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
- Uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools
Ideal Candidate
- A recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to work across disciplines
- Awareness or certification in Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting (desirable)
- A sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Experience with lean manufacturing and TPM methodologies
- A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
