We're looking for a Group Accounting Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, strong financial controls and valuable commercial insight across our central business functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with business partnering, process improvement and team leadership. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help ensure high-quality financial reporting, support informed decision-making and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls. This role will be based in our new European HQ in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for central business functions.
- Review monthly performance reporting, analysis and financial insights.
- Take ownership of key accounting period controls and reporting processes.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure a strong control environment.
- Drive consistency in accounting practices and cost allocation methodologies across the business.
- Lead and maintain robust financial processes and governance.
- Support and lead ad hoc projects, analysis and business improvement initiatives.
- Manage and develop a team of two accountants/finance assistants.
- Support the delivery of clean and efficient external audits.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax computations.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
The Ideal Candidate
You'll be a qualified finance professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll Ideally Have
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- At least two years’ post-qualification industry experience.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex financial information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills.
It Would Also Be Advantageous To Have
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or an international business environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP accounting systems.
