The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

To support and servicing the site technical team in terms of all technical aspects, including but not limited to KPI's, Management information, agreements with customers for information (internal and external) documentation.

The Role

To act as a link between TSM, QM and Hygiene Manager under direct supervision of the TSM, providing Technical expertise to deliver the departments agreed food, customer and site safety priorities, strategies and projects. To represent Technical as a value adding, ‘role model’ function inside and outside of the site.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide complaint data and analysis for internal and external reports.
  • Update complaints database and respond to complaints.
  • Co-ordinate all customer non-conformances, responses.
  • Daily input of ALS database.
  • Collate, analysis and identify trends in technical systems data.
  • Daily input onto intake database.
  • Approval of intake packaging.
  • Daily factory label approval.
  • Providing relevant data for completion of customer and internal KPI and strategy information.
  • Actively engage in team projects and cluster activities.
  • Assist TSM in supplier approval, and chasing of supplier as directed.
  • Check, file and aid with traceability liaising with QM and TSM.
  • Weekly Asda consistency panel.
  • Complete ad hoc duties on documentation for TSM, QM or Hygiene Manager.
  • Provide holiday and emergency cover for essential tasks.
  • Support on non-conformance close outs to drive root cause and preventative action.
  • Oversee results on product nutritional, compile all data and identify trends.
  • To act as a professional and trusted advisor to the TSM, QM, Hygiene Manager on all Technical KPI and documentation.
  • Assist in third party and customer audits i.e.: BRC (as requested by Technical Management).

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within a similar Technical / QA role in a chilled food manufacturing environment.
  • A working understanding of Microsoft Office / Excel.
  • Working experience of HACCP, BRC with exposure to FMCG environments, and being ‘audit ready’.
  • Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with peer groups.
  • Ability to lead paper-trail segments of audits and ensure delegated administrators are able to lead also.
  • Ability to work with peers in a matrix structure to draw in external skills to achieve local goals.
  • Track record of delivery.
  • Ability to manage priorities and projects across a multi-site and multi-function organisation.
  • A personal commitment to role model behaviours and management through example.
