Deliver Outstanding Customer Service in a Friendly and Fast-Paced Retail Environment

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Assistant to join our team in Kilkeel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering great service and wants to develop their skills within a well-established retail food business.

As part of our retail team, you'll help create a positive shopping experience for customers while maintaining high standards of product presentation, hygiene and food safety. You'll support the Store Manager and Supervisor with daily store operations and contribute to achieving sales and service targets. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £12.75 per hour.

This is a part-time, 2 day per week role - 10 hours per week.

Key Duties

• You will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of the store.
• Greet and serve customers, offering product advice and recommendations
• Prepare counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards
• Prepare different cuts of meat in line with customer and company requirements
• Carry out stock rotation, price reductions and product sampling activities
• Receive deliveries and complete associated paperwork accurately
• Support promotional activities and ensure special offer materials are displayed
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the store
• Support the management team with daily operations and staff development activities
