A Key Role at the Heart of Our Manufacturing Excellence

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential frontline reactive maintenance services to our site, swiftly identifying and addressing root causes to restore equipment to full operational status. You will also proactively seek and implement cost-effective improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment. This site processes sliced pork products.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off days 0530-1730

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment
  • Ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
  • Uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for someone with a strong multi-skilled background and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

You’ll Have:

  • A recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent
  • Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to work across disciplines
  • Awareness or certification in Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting (desirable)
  • A sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and TPM methodologies
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Food experience working with sliced meats production equipment such as multi vac, meat slicers, packaging, meat prep and bowl choppers an advantage.
