Summary

Support the safe and efficient manufacturing of goods by taking responsibility for all aspects of raw materials, labour, equipment, and maintenance in your assigned area. You\’ll play a crucial role in connecting departments, using your expertise in Production & Packing to help achieve our shared goals in food safety, employee well‑being, site safety, and maintenance priorities, while also driving innovative projects forward.

Hours of Work

Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00

Your Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to your Line Manager in all production and packing/distribution matters.
• Engage constructively with broader teams (other sites, HSE departments) to facilitate local delivery of site production goals.
• Model safety behaviours on site and deliver quantifiable results in reporting safety and health issues.
• Liaise with site management for any safety‑related requests.
• Maintain personal health and safety in line with company procedures.
• Report safety, health or environmental incidents promptly to the Line Manager.
• Coach fellow colleagues and new team members on health, safety and hygiene in line with company policy.
• Drive continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental practices in your area.
• Ensure compliance with high safety standards and participate in audits.
• Champion clean‑as‑you‑go and good manufacturing practices.
• Ensure machinery hygiene checks are completed in line with protocol and report defects to the Hygiene Department and Line Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

• Level 2 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
• Ability to work with peers in a matrix structure to bring in external skills for local goals.
• Track record of delivery.
• Commitment to role‑model behaviours.
• Experience of checking and completing paperwork to a highly accurate standard.
