Role Overview

Join Sofina's Packaging Development team and play a key role in supporting our packaging waste reporting obligations. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll work closely with the Senior Packaging Technologist to collect, validate and maintain packaging data from sites across Europe, ensuring accurate reporting and helping the business avoid unnecessary costs.

You'll become a trusted point of contact for both internal stakeholders and suppliers, helping to improve the quality and accuracy of packaging information while developing your understanding of packaging materials and sustainability regulations.

Key Duties

• Accurately enter and maintain packaging data within the Sofina Packaging Waste tool.
• Support reporting submissions through retailer portals, including Valpak and Ecosurety.
• Gather and verify packaging data from manufacturing sites across Europe.
• Work with suppliers to obtain accurate packaging specifications and supporting documentation.
• Review data for errors, identify gaps and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage large spreadsheets and maintain accurate records.
• Support data extraction and reporting activities for the Packaging Development team.
• Deliver high-quality work to agreed deadlines while supporting wider packaging projects.

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in data entry or working with large volumes of information.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Confident reviewing and validating numerical and text-based data.
• Able to prioritise workloads and meet critical deadlines.
• An effective communicator who can build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive in researching and resolving missing or incomplete information.
• Passionate about sustainability and the role accurate data plays in reducing packaging waste.
