Engineer Machine Setter

Supporting Engineering Excellence in a Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment. Sofina Foods is seeking a skilled and proactive strip and build Engineer to join our night shift team. This role is to support both the engineering and hygiene teams to ensure safe and efficient cleaning and start-ups. Critical to ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of production equipment within a high-performing, fast-moving factory environment. Reporting to the Engineering Night Shift manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing equipment across your assigned department, contributing directly to uptime, safety, and quality performance. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that values engineering expertise and invests in its people, systems, and future. 4 on 4 off nights (5:30pm -5:30am).

Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct breakdown and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using the Pirana maintenance system.
• Perform strip-down and re-builds of machinery for hygiene and sanitation compliance.
• Ensure equipment performance supports production efficiency and product quality.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within your department.
• Work in line with all hygiene, health & safety, environmental, quality, and ethical standards.
• Represent the engineering team professionally with both internal teams and external contacts.
• Complete additional tasks as reasonably required to support departmental performance.

The Ideal Candidate

• A recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge and experience operating or maintaining factory machinery.
• A strong awareness of industry safety practices and compliance expectations.
• Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
