Working for a world leading food manufacturing company, the Quality Assurance team plays a key role in maintaining the site’s Food Safety and Quality Standards with exciting opportunities for progression both at site and group level.
The Quality Assurance Assistant plays a key role in maintaining the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management System. You will ensure compliance with legislation, customer standards, and business needs while supporting daily operations and technical systems coordination. Working closely with the site technical team, you’ll drive quality initiatives and assist in delivering technical excellence. Additional duties may be assigned to support the smooth running of the site.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection to ensure that all Company and customer specifications are being met.
- Temperature Controls
- Label Verification
- Metal Detection
- Documentation Controls
- Any other QA duties as required by the Technical Manager
The Ideal Candidate:
- Education to GCSE standard or equivalent (Must include passes in English and Maths).
- Previous Quality Assurance Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferential.
- A Food related qualification (advantageous but not essential).
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexibility regarding shift patterns as will be required to train and transfer between departments.
