The Role
As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll deliver excellent customer engagement, maintain high standards of hygiene, and support your colleagues in a busy retail environment. You'll work in a sales-driven way to hit targets while supporting the store manager and supervisor in the day-to-day running of the store.
Pay Rate
Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers, offering advice, recommendations and product knowledge
- Prepare counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards
- Prepare different cuts of meat
- Carry out stock rotation, price reductions and product sampling
- Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork
- Distribute special offer materials and carry out general cleaning
- Support internal training and the management team
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven customer service excellence and a drive to meet sales targets
- Knowledge of legal requirements and procedures relevant to the role
- Able to motivate and support colleagues on a daily basis
- Confident supporting the store manager in their absence
- Flexible, deadline-focused and able to work well under pressure
- A strong communicator who can work on their own initiative
- A keen interest in developing a career within the trade
