Bring Your Butchery Skills to a Customer-Focused Team in Cookstown
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team in Cookstown on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in preparing quality products, delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the highest standards within a busy retail butchery environment.
Working as part of a knowledgeable and supportive team, you'll prepare products to customer and company specifications, help customers make informed purchasing decisions and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the butchery department.
Key Duties
- You'll play an important role in delivering quality products and exceptional service to our customers.
- Prepare a range of meat cuts to customer and company specifications
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
- Maintain the butchery counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards
- Carry out stock rotation and support product sampling activities
- Receive deliveries and complete associated paperwork accurately
- Support promotional activities and general store operations
- Assist with maintaining product quality, presentation and availability
- Provide support and cover for the Store Manager when required
Ideal Candidate
- We're looking for a skilled butcher who enjoys working with customers and delivering high standards.
- Previous experience within a retail butchery environment
- A strong commitment to customer service and achieving sales targets
- Good knowledge of legal and food safety requirements within butchery
- Confident supporting and developing colleagues when required
- Flexible, reliable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
