The Role
Sofina Foods is looking for a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to run one of our McGee’s stores. As Store Manager, you will take overall responsibility for daily operations, leading your team to deliver excellent customer service while driving sales performance and ensuring your store consistently meets high operational standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious retail professional to take ownership of a store, showcase leadership skills, and inspire a team to deliver results.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of your store
- Develop in-depth knowledge of McGee’s products and manage inspiring displays to showcase them
- Drive customer engagement by ensuring every customer receives a positive experience, building loyalty and repeat business
- Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in line with legislation
- Lead, motivate, and coach your team to achieve weekly KPIs and company targets
- Work closely with your Regional Manager on performance, objective setting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster a positive workplace culture, treating colleagues and team members with respect, dignity, and professionalism
- Embrace challenges with enthusiasm and a drive to achieve company targets and operational excellence
The Ideal Candidate
- At least two years’ retail management experience, ideally within fresh foods
- A passion for retail, with the drive to maximise sales and minimise waste
- Strong communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner
- The ability to engage, inspire, and motivate a team to deliver results
- A flexible and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- A customer-focused approach with a polite, efficient, and friendly manner
- Proven ability to performance manage and develop team members
- Knowledge of retail best practices, culture, and values
- Strong IT literacy, particularly with Excel
- The ability to evaluate information and create effective action plans
