We're looking for an experienced butcher to join a team that cares about quality. You'll prepare high-quality products to customer and company specification, deliver knowledgeable service, and play a key part in the day-to-day running of a busy butchery counter.
Pay rate: £13.15 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a range of cuts to customer and company specification
- Greet and serve customers, sharing product knowledge and helping them get the most from their purchase
- Prepare and maintain the counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards
- Carry out stock rotation and product sampling
- Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork
- Distribute special offer materials and support general store operations
- Provide cover and support for the store manager when required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Hands-on experience in a retail butchery environment is essential
- A track record of excellent customer service and a drive to meet sales targets
- Sound knowledge of legal requirements relevant to butchery
- Experience supporting and developing new team members
- Confident acting in a supervisory capacity when required
- Flexible, deadline-focused, and able to perform well under pressure
- A strong communicator who can work independently and use their own initiative
