This is a newly created role within our Health and Safety team, offering a genuine opportunity to shape and influence how health, safety, and environmental best practices are embedded across our outdoor farming operations. As HSE Advisor, you will work closely with farm managers and teams across multiple sites, supporting the development of a strong, proactive safety culture. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will gain a real understanding of day-to-day farming activities and help implement practical, risk-based solutions that improve safety and performance. You will play a key role in driving behavioural change, reducing risk, and raising standards across a business committed to continuous improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support farm managers and teams to meet health, safety, and environmental standards across all sites
- Promote a positive and practical safety culture during a period of change
- Carry out regular farm inspections, audits, and site visits to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Travel regularly across farm sites in Elgin, the Highlands, and the Fife and Dundee area
- Review and support the development of risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH assessments
- Provide clear and practical H&S advice tailored to farming activities
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to farm teams
- Support environmental compliance, including waste management and environmental controls
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and KPI data to support continuous improvement
