Deliver quality cuts and outstanding customer service as part of a skilled, customer-focused butchery team.

We are looking for an experienced butcher to ensure all butchery work meets the required standards of quality, value and hygiene. You will deliver excellent customer engagement, support colleagues and management, and help drive your team to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve targets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare different cuts of meat in line with customer and company requirements.
  • Provide advice and training to colleagues on butchery activities.
  • Greet and serve customers, providing product knowledge and assistance with purchases.
  • Prepare the counter and pre-pack areas, maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
  • Carry out stock rotation, price reductions and product sampling.
  • Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork.
  • Distribute special offer materials and support general store operations.
  • Support the management team in the day-to-day running of the store.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and legal requirements.
  • Previous experience supervising others would be advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills with a drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Able to motivate and guide a team on a daily basis.
  • IT literate with strong communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
