We’re looking for a skilled butcher to join our team. In this role, you’ll use your butchery expertise to prepare high-quality products that meet both customer and company needs, while providing friendly, helpful service through advice, recommendations, and support. This is a great opportunity for someone with proven butchery experience who takes pride in their craft and enjoys delivering top-quality products and service.

£12.55 per hour

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of meat cuts to meet customer and company standards
  • Welcome and serve customers in a professional and friendly way
  • Offer advice and product knowledge to help customers make the right choices
  • Keep the counter and pre-pack areas clean, organized, and well-presented
  • Carry out product sampling to help promote sales
  • Rotate stock and make sure all products are labelled correctly
  • Receive deliveries and complete the necessary paperwork
  • Set up and distribute promotional and special offer materials
  • Maintain high hygiene standards through general cleaning and upkeep

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous retail butchery experience (essential)
  • Strong customer service skills and a proven track record
  • Motivation to drive sales and hit targets
  • Good understanding of legal requirements and procedures in butchery/retail
  • Able to support, train, and guide new team members
  • Flexible with working hours and able to meet deadlines
