We are world leaders in what we do, and we are currently on the look-out for skilled Papermill Operatives to join our team in Lancaster. As an Papermill Operative you will play an integral part in our production process. This role fits at the very beginning of our Paper making journey and as such the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the correct raw materials are used so that when the product is on the shelf and you take it home, it’s the best it can be. Main Duties/Responsibilities: • Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults • Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with work instruction • Proactively maintain housekeeping within the Papermill to ensure space optimization • Work closely and in cooperation with the Paper Machine Assistants • Carry out any other reasonable request and support the colleagues in case of need • Operate MHE equipment including using clamp and bale attachments to move bale and reel stock around the Papermill • Relocate reels and bales around the Papermill to enable efficient smart working • Prepare pulp area in line with the product specifications • Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies • Unload trucks as and when required • Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed Additional Skills/Requirements: Valid Counterbalance or other MHE license is desired Team player Experience driving a fork-lift truck Good communication Experience working in a busy warehouse/manufacturing setting Package/Benefits: £14.56 per hour Discounted staff shop Competitive pension On site staff car parking Shift work
