The Role
Sofidel is currently looking for an experienced Machine Operator within a production/manufacturing setting. This role sits at the very heart of our production line and manages all aspects of the end-to-end production of some of the UK’s best-known tissue brands. The successful candidate will work on a rostered 4 shift pattern working 2 days then 2 nights to achieve a work/life balance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain the continuous running of our Packaging Machines
- Facilitate product change overs including the loading of polyethylene reels
- Responsible for the effective running of the log saw as and when required
- Interact with the Machine to solve minor issues/breakdowns leading to enhanced productivity
- Carry out quality checks on productions when required and report any faults
- Carry out small maintenance activities and adjustments
- Support colleagues and overview the end line process when required
- Be accountable for high levels of housekeeping of the working area throughout the shift
- Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
