This role sits at the very heart of our production line and manages all aspects of the end-to-end production of some of the UK’s best known tissue brands. The successful candidate will work on our rostered 4 shift pattern working 2 days then 2 nights so you can get that all important work/life balance. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES Maintain the continuous running of our packaging machines Facilitate product change overs including the loading of polyethylene reels Responsible for the effective running of the log saw as and when required Interact with the machine to solve minor issues/breakdown leading to the enhanced productivity of the machines Carry out quality checks on productions when required and report any faults to the respective person Carry out small maintenance activities and adjustments Support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end line process when required Health, Safety & Compliance Be accountable for high levels of housekeeping of the working area throughout the shift Strong awareness of health & safety requirements in a manufacturing environment Ability to work safely around moving machinery and automated system Quality & Accountability Ability to identify and report product defects or process deviations Willingness to stop the line and escalate issues where standards are not met High level of attention to detail and ownership of work Understanding that accuracy of checks and records is critical REQUIREMENTS Previous manufacturing experience running automated packaging lines, desirable to have previous supervisory experience. Ability to carry out machine set-ups, changeovers, and basic fault finding Strong understanding of quality standards and in-process checks Commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accuratley Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment Excellent decision making abilities and the confidence to take on responsibilites.
