The Role: Sofidel UK are currently recruiting for a confident and hardworking Machine Operator to join our Facial team at our site in Hamilton. This role is extremely important to the manufacturing process of our well-known brands of facial tissue and sits inside a busy production line. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating our established brands of facial tissue by operating and monitoring the machines along the production line. Working on a full time basis, this role is ideal for someone who is looking for further exposure to a manufacturing process and the operations of HIM machines. The role operates on a 3 shift pattern of 7.5 hour days and does include night work. The ideal candidate will have had exposure to night shifts as well as early morning work and have demonstrable experience working within a production line.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Play a key part in the production line, operating as a team to produce the finished product
- Work to KPI targets set
- Execute all operational tasks with excellence
- Program machinery to product specification and report any problems or issues through the correct procedure
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Carry out quality checks of products produced and report any faults in accordance with workplace procedures
- Follow internal processes and procedures
- Adhere to H&S standards at all times
