The successful candidate will work with a team of driven individuals to manage the goods storage in the warehouse and prepare the loading area to fulfil high production demands in compliance with working instructions, safety guidelines and ISO 9001 standards.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment such as reel clamps and PPTs.
- Move pallets around the facility and stow them in the correct storage bays, ensuring space optimization.
- Manage warehouse operations in line with system requirements and work instructions.
- Prepare the loading area in compliance with the loading schedule, ensuring load is correct and documentation is signed.
- Load trucks if and when required.
- Perform daily equipment checks, identifying and reporting damages and faults to maintain daily functioning.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Observe products to identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies.
- Carry out periodic stocktaking activities and any other reasonable requests.
- Work closely and in cooperation with the Day services and Shift teams, supporting colleagues throughout.
- Continually ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained throughout all working areas.
- Ensure Health & Safety rules are always adhered to by yourself and others.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Must have prior experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
- Must hold a valid FLT Counterbalance Licence.
- Show attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
SHIFT PATTERN
Monday to Friday - 10:00 - 18:00 - 37.5 hours a week.
