As a Platform Engineer at Sofico, you'll contribute to modernizing critical infrastructure, scale a cloud-first platform, and deliver seamless experiences for leading automotive and mobility customers worldwide. Responsibilities
- Designing, setting up, and managing environments and microservices (Kubernetes, Azure Cloud & on-prem).
- Through automation using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining environments for global customers.
- Supporting customers & other Sofico teams directly and providing technical consulting.
- Modernizing legacy components into scalable, cloud-native solutions.
- Sharing knowledge within the team and across Sofico.
You’ll join the Product Platform Operations Team, a close-knit group of 18 engineers across three time zones (JP, AU, EU, US). Though your direct teammates are remote, you'll have local colleagues in the UK office and strong virtual connections. The work is challenging, and that's what brings the team together, through daily collaboration, shared laughs, and unwavering support.

Qualifications
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS...).
- Familiar with Linux systems.
- Experience with databases (Oracle and/or MS SQL).
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
- SC Clearance will be needed.
Nice to have
- Ansible, Podman/Docker, JBoss, Postgres, Flux, Reverse Proxies, Kafka, CI pipelines, HVR, microservice deployments, advanced Kubernetes concepts like operators, experience in delivering software artifacts to customers.
- We work with Jira and Confluence, experience is a plus.
