Role Purpose

The Supply Chain Planner plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of stock through the supply chain, supporting product availability whilst balancing customer experience, operational efficiency and cost.

Working closely with suppliers, freight partners, warehouses and internal stakeholders, you will maintain visibility of inbound supply, stock movements and inventory positions, proactively identifying risks and opportunities before they impact the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Planning & Stock Management
  • Maintain visibility of stock availability, inbound deliveries and inventory positions across the network.
  • Manage stock allocations and support customer order fulfilment requirements.
  • Coordinate supplier schedules and stock intake plans to ensure product availability.
  • Identify supply risks, delays and shortages, escalating issues and supporting resolution plans.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to balance customer requirements with operational constraints and cost considerations.
  • Managing on-time delivery and visibility of business events stock movements.
  • Supplier & Inbound Management
  • Manage supplier communications relating to order status, production updates and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inbound shipments and maintain accurate delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, warehouses and suppliers to ensure stock is delivered on time and in full.
  • Support customs compliance and ensure associated documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Process inbound transactions and maintain accurate supply chain records across systems.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Produce regular supply chain reports and performance insights.
  • Monitor and analyse inventory, supplier and operational performance data.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations that support informed decision-making.
  • Use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual activity and improve efficiency.
  • Support automation initiatives and new system developments across the supply chain.
  • Review existing ways of working and actively recommend improvements.
  • Help develop scalable processes that support future business growth.
  • Document and maintain clear operating procedures where required.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Challenge constructively and use data to support recommendations and decisions.
  • Support cross-functional projects that improve customer experience and operational performance.
  • Represent supply chain team in cross functional forums.

Essential

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Planning or Operations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident working with data and using Excel to analyse information.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

Desirable

  • Experience developing reports, dashboards or data visualisations.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
