Role Overview

As our Office Assistant, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the Head of People to help shape an office environment we’re genuinely proud of. You’ll be keeping systems organised, processes clear, and our workspace running smoothly so every team member has what they need to thrive. You’ll help make Sofa Club a place where people feel supported, welcomed, and excited to come to work each day. If you love being the person who “just gets things done,” thrives in organisation, and enjoys helping others, this role is for you.

Role Responsibilities

  • HR & Onboarding Support: Assist with onboarding and staff paperwork for new starters. Support with induction logistics (logins, systems access, workstation set-up). Be a point of contact for internal office needs, solving issues before they escalate.
  • Office & Operations: Assist with administrative tasks including ordering supplies and managing office equipment. Retrieve invoices and receipts for company card spends. Organise meetings, diaries, and internal scheduling across teams and leadership as required.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organise physical and digital files for easy retrieval. Ensure document handling complies with data protection regulations.
  • People & Culture: Partner with the Head of People to support internal events, wellness initiatives, and team communications. Support internal communication by preparing notices, memos, and updates for the wider team. Assist with planning and delivering culture-focused initiatives that enhance the workplace experience.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Build checklists, schedules, and trackers to drive clarity, accountability, and efficiency across office processes. Support team projects and continuous improvement of administrative systems.
