About Sofa Club

At Sofa Club, we’re not just selling sofas—we’re building a brand that people genuinely connect with. With a loyal customer base, an engaged social following, and big ambitions for growth, we’re now bringing PR fully in-house. We’re looking for a strategic storyteller to take ownership of our brand narrative, land standout media coverage, and create fresh, memorable moments that connect us with our community.

The Role

Working alongside our Senior PR & Content Executive, you’ll play a key role in building Sofa Club’s visibility across national, lifestyle, interior, and trade media. From trend pitching and product placement to journalist events and influencer activations, you'll drive daily press activity that brings our brand to life, creatively, strategically, and authentically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Press Office Management: Own the day-to-day running of the press office - managing inboxes, responding to media enquiries, and proactively pitching to drive regular product and brand coverage.
  • Media Relations: Build and nurture relationships with key journalists, editors, and content creators across lifestyle, interiors, national, and digital press.
  • Product Placement: Secure high-quality placements in gift guides, shopping edits, home features, and trend pieces, with a focus on linking coverage to sales and search performance.
  • Campaign Delivery: Support the execution of 4–6 brand campaigns per year - from creative concepting to press outreach and reporting.
  • Reactive PR: Monitor the news agenda and trends to identify opportunities for Sofa Club to ‘newsjack’ and offer expert commentary or timely product tie-ins.
  • Events & Gifting: Coordinate journalist events, showroom visits, and pop-up experiences to deepen engagement and brand recall.
  • Reporting & Evaluation: Use PR tools to monitor, track and evaluate coverage, generating monthly and campaign reports to demonstrate ROI and learnings.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of PR experience (agency or in-house) within consumer, interiors, lifestyle or fashion.
  • Proven track record securing regular product and feature coverage across top-tier media.
  • Creative thinker with a solid understanding of how to generate stories that cut through.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written skills — from press releases and media alerts to concise, compelling pitch emails.
  • Comfortable managing media databases, media monitoring tools, and reporting software (e.g. Vuelio, Roxhill, CoverageBook, Meltwater, etc.).
  • Genuine passion for interiors, trends, and consumer lifestyle media.

What You’ll Get

  • Be part of a growing brand with real creative freedom and input.
  • Access to a supportive and ambitious team culture.
  • Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 WFH)
  • Opportunity to grow your career as we scale our in-house comms function.
  • 28 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Health insurance
  • Friends and family discount
  • Salary sacrifice schemes

Ambitious? We have huge plans. There’s never been a better time to join Sofa Club. We are growing fast and need ambitious people to join us for the ride.

Fun? We work hard and then let our hair down at our office prosecco bar (yes, really!).

Do-er? Talk is cheap, execution is everything. Be a doer, not a talker.

Friendly? We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We have a diverse and inclusive culture, everyone gets on well, and we work together as one family.
